Tasting Notes:
A rich, complex wine, our 2002 Quixote Petite Syrah is drinking very well now and will evolve beautifully over the next decade. Smoky aromas mingle with an intense plum-prune character and the dark fruit essence of blackberry and currant. We’ve noted some interesting floral components and a big mouth feel with bittersweet chocolate (Scharffen Berger) and layers of dark, sweet ripe fruit flavor. This luscious “petite” has well integrated spicy oak and a long finish with silky tannins and good acid structure.
