Tasting Notes

If there is one thing that separates the Stags Leap District from its neighbors, it’s the ability to make wines with a distinctive core of fruit, mineral and tannin structure. This wine encompasses all of the qualities and characteristics of our region. It’s a dark ruby-colored wine with currant, raspberry and blackberry liqueur aromas. There are hints of clove and toasted hazelnuts. We find it sweet and rich in the mouth, expressing tons of cherry jam and plum with a long finish showing subtle hints of anise and rose petal. Drink it now through 2015.
