Complex and intense with aromas of ripe blackberry, raspberry and fig exploding from the glass. Rich fruit aromas are balanced by the smells of roast beef, clove, nutmeg and toffee. On the finish cedar and plum-tobacco linger tantalizingly before giving way to flavors of cherry, currant and cocoa.

Quixote’s 2010 Petite Syrah Stags' Leap Ranch is absolutely gorgeous. Plums, wild cherries, olives, grilled herbs, scorched earth, licorice and new leather seem to jump from the glass. A powerful, rich wine, impresses for its overall balance, and, more importantly, its sheer deliciousness. Polished and subtle for young Petite, especially in its tannins, although hints of wildness peek through on the finish
